Our “Zero Drag” DT internals use a double clutching system that allows isolation of the drive ring so that no speed is lost to friction of the ratcheting drive mechanism while coasting.

This also means that, with a slight backpedal, the wheel can also rotate backwards independently of the freehub (to act as a freecoaster).

The pick-up/degree of engagement is similar to that of a normal 36T ratchet.

For use with 36T DT Hubs, either EXP or Standard Ratchet hubs (choose option at checkout). Instruction manuals included and also found here: DT SWISS - Google Drive
